This is doubly true if the sites are in a market that you’re not particularly interested in yourself. Let’s look at three effective strategies for making this job a little easier.
Autoblogging
Autoblogging is probably the one method that gets the most attention. Autoblogging uses a WordPress plugin to grab content from other sites, combine it into somewhat unique posts and then add it to your blog – without any action or input on your part. If you want to build a list, WPSubscribers WordPress Plugin is a great tool for your wordpress blog.
A big reason it’s so popular is because it takes virtually no effort on your part. Unfortunately, it’s also not very effective if you just set it and forget it.
If you mix in some original, unique posts every so often, your autoblogs will be a lot more effective. Just to be sure there’s nothing you wouldn’t want on your site, it’s also a good idea to go in and review the posts every few days.
Curated Content
Curation is another hot topic at the moment. This is the process of taking content from other websites and presenting it as news, along with your own commentary. You can collect snippets of content from various sources, and then add your own views on it.
This works really well when combined with autoblogging. Most autoblogging plugins let you create draft posts that aren’t actually live on the site, and you can go in and “curate” that content before it gets posted. This has two benefits – you save time compared to posting manually and your readers will get higher value content
Reviews
Internet Marketing Reviews are another way you can reuse content from other sources, to some degree at least. This is most effective for markets where there are enough products to write ongoing reviews, particularly for physical products like you would find on Amazon or eBay.
Things like specifications, descriptions and other content on the vendor’s site can be worked into your reviews. But you can add your own spin on it by reviewing the products yourself if you’ve had experience with them, or using reviews from sites like Amazon for research purposes. Take those other reviews and rewrite or combine them into something unique and original for your website.
